Your new role
In this role you will have overall responsibility for managing day-to-day system administration, including helpdesk provision for the financial accounting system in relation to the head office and associated companies of the organisation. Working closely with legal and IT services to ensure documented system compliance requirements are met, and business continuity plans are in place.
You will monitor, control and manage the financial resources of the Corporate Financial System (Agresso ERP, cloud), ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, professional accounting standards, Standing Orders and Financial Regulations, in order to ensure proper public accountability.
What you'll need to succeed
Your background in finance (as a CCAB or AAT qualified) and focus on systems' effectiveness will be essential for success in this role. As a seasoned professional who keeps up to date with technical developments and technology, continuously refreshing your skill set to ensure continuous improvement to service, and your own professional development. With demonstrable experience of working with third party suppliers to secure the most appropriate technology solutions and the proven ability to optimise software and service delivery regarding the financial accounting system. As someone who has significant financial experience and developed your skills in financial systems projects, implementations, service delivery and process re-engineering, you will be confident and capable of engaging a very wide range of stakeholders. Your ability to provide financial information in an operational setting with the capacity to explain concepts in appropriate terms will be a key asset to demonstrate success in this role.
