Chatbot Writer - Banking

Handle Recruitment is seeking a UX Writer/Conversational Designer with experience with chatbots in the banking/financial services sectors to work with a world recognised bank.

*This will be on a six month fixed term contract initially. Salary up to £55k pro rata*

Working as part of a writing team and alongside product owners, legal teams and broader departments, you'll take a lead role in a review-and-improve programme for the customer-facing chatbot, with the aim of developing a world-class customer experience, you'll be the voice of journey design, good writing, content thinking and brand ToV.

As the Chatbot Writer your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and helping to redesign and rewrite chatbot journeys
  • Joining and leading workshops
  • Advocating for customers, working with stakeholders to balance their needs against commercial goals and regulatory responsibilities
  • Getting to grips with our brand and TOV guide, and applying them in everything you work on
  • Managing your own workload and diary, communicating with stakeholders to set priorities and deliver work on time
  • Working with stakeholders to use financial regulations to improve the customer experience rather than hinder it.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrable background in UX writing, with experience in chatbot
  • Experience of writing copy in a regulated industry or business, specifically banking/financial services
  • Strong understanding of branding, TOV, content strategy and experience working with other teams in an agile environment
  • Ability to pitch ideas and explain reasoning
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders from various teams, managing their feedback and resolving challenges
  • Experience working in agile product development teams
  • Experience editing the work of other writers
