Job description:

International SOS is seeking a Security Director in London for maternity cover. This role involves leading the Security Assistance team for various regions, overseeing security risk management, incident management, and crisis response services. The director will work with the Security Director, Information and Analysis to integrate security services.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with stakeholders to manage client requests for security advice and assistance.

Oversee a robust regional operational preparedness programme.

Oversee International SOS' regional operations and advice positions.

Maintain a diverse network of local security partners.

Allocate resources across core security activity.

Supervise regional security staff and provide on-call support.

Collaborate with the Security Director (I&A) to ensure Security Information & Advisory aligns with regional outlook.

Support strategic regional relationships with third-party Security Partners.

Implement the Global Quality Management Program across regional operations.

Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.

About You:

Strong knowledge of security risk management best practices.

Senior-level experience in Security Assistance delivery and planning.

Knowledge of directing, planning and managing complex Security Assistance operations.

Knowledge of the political and security landscape within specified regions.

Ability to evaluate multiple streams of security, logistics and threat-based information.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, global business.

Team management experience, ideally including remote management.

Experience in the risk management field.

Experience in conducting profile specific security risk assessments.

Business development, consultancy, and sales experience would be an advantage.

Degree in a field related to security studies, war studies, international politics, international relations or similar.

Excellent English language skills, public speaking and training delivery experience.

Fluency in other languages relevant to the region would be an advantage.

Other Information:

Some travel, sometimes on urgent request.

Occasional evening/weekend work based on operational requirements.

Participation in global on-call roster when required.
