I am working with a multi award winning social housing organisation who are looking for a
Quantity Surveyor
to help with up and coming projects. You will work closely with the Commercial team and will be responsible for 2 new build housing developments in Wiltshire and Somerset.
Role: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £58,000
Location: Bath
Skills needed for the Quantity Surveyor role:
- Have completed a degree in Quantity Surveying / a related degree (desirable not essential)
- Preferably 3+ years' experience working in the housing industry in a Quantity Surveying role
- Experience working for a regional or national housing developer
- Be proficient with using Excel
- Have effective organisation & time management skills
- Have excellent negotiating skills
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor role:
- Liaise with the Commercial team and establish the project specification and requirements
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for specified projects
- Prepare monthly valuation reports
- Monitor the contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs or time scale
- Assist in the control of contract budgets
- Assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to timescales
