Industrial Racking & Shelving Inspector
Monday - Friday: 40 Hours per week
Annual Salary between £28,000 to £32,000
People Solutions are recruiting for an Industrial Racking & Shelving Inspector to join our client in support of their national contracts.
The role involves working within a team of Inspectors, travelling the UK, to complete assessments on racking units and industrial storage equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate at the beginning of their career offering career progression for the right candidate.
The role of a Industrial Racking & Shelving Engineer will be to work within a small team of Installers, to complete scheduled installation and maintenance works.
The company has a nationwide customer portfolio, leading to our Inspectors travelling the UK to complete works as required.
The role will be working away from home, with accommodation and away allowance provided.

Day to Day Duties
As an Industrial Racking & Shelving Inspector your duties will include:
- Carry out inspections on industrial storage equipment as detailed within the department
- Schedule, using current software and processes.
- Undertake training on all appropriate software.
- Produce high quality reports using industry standards along with current procedures and
- processes.
- Complete inspections/projects in a variety of environments.
- Provide technical and ongoing support to existing clients.
- Offer where appropriate, other services and products to clients from the company profile.
Essential Skills
It is Essential as an Industrial Racking & Shelving Inspector that you:
- Good standard of general education backed by a track record of continuing professional development.
- Industrial Storage Equipment Experience
- IPAF Licence
- Working at Height/Harness Qualification
Desirable Experience
It would be desirable if as an Industrial Racking & Shelving Inspector that you:
- Inspection of Industrial Storage Equipment
- Experience (PUWER Regulations).
Training
- The Inspector role will involve working alongside/shadowing other inspectors from the team until they have passed their probation period and have met specific criteria.
- The Inspector will attend training courses where necessary, to further improve skills and knowledge within the industry, along with attending onsite training with team members.
- After one year service, the Inspector will be enrolled in a SEMA Qualification
