Payroll Officer - Basingstoke - Hybrid - Up to £28,000
Our client, a global industry leader, has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join their team at their Head Office in Basingstoke.
The main focus for the role is processing monthly UK payrolls.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- To support the Payroll Manager and payroll team in processing the company's UK payrolls.
- To work in accordance with the payroll software provider's managed service processes and deadlines.
- To liaise closely with HR colleagues to accurately input payroll data to the payroll system.
- To review and check payroll system output reports.
- To assist the Payroll Manager in the preparation information and reports for internal and external payroll audits.
- To assist and support colleagues throughout the company to resolve payroll and company benefit queries.
Essential Experience/Skills Required:
- Data entry and ‘end to end' payroll processing experience
- Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation
- Computer literate with Microsoft Excel and Word experience
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Professional and confidential manner
Desirable Experience/Skills:
- Ability to carry out manual calculations
- Qualified or studying towards the CIPP's Certificate in Payroll Administration or equivalent
