Job Title: Head Chef
Location: Near Witney
Salary: £17.00 - £17.50 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week across 3 days (Start and finish times to be confirmed)

My client is a respected nursing home located near Witney, committed to providing high-quality care to their residents. The team is dedicated to ensuring a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel at home. I am currently seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join the team and lead their kitchen.
Position Overview:
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals tailored to meet the dietary needs of the residents. You will lead the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the residents by creating meals that are not only nutritious but also enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure resident needs are met.
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in catering, preferably in a care home setting or other care facility.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals.
- Understanding of food fortification and its importance in dietary care.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
