Red Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Accounting Assistant to join our client, a family-owned business with over 50 years of industry experience. It is a leader in the South West in land regeneration solutions, material management services, and the supply of recycled and quarried aggregates.
This is a permanent position, the salary is between £30,000 - £34,000 per annum and is located in Hallen, South Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Accounting Assistant:
- Managing accounts payable from invoice to payment
- Raising ad-hoc sales invoices and approved credit notes
- Covering credit control tasks during periods of leave
- Producing pre-invoicing reports and subsequent invoice runs for the group company
- Completing bank reconciliation for group companies
- Reviewing invoices received to ensure figures are adjusted to the correct month
- Monitoring accounts mailbox and resolving or distributing to the appropriate person
Key Skills and Experience of a Senior Accounting Assistant:
- AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting is essential
- Experience in Sage 50 is required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting role for SME
- Good communication skills are required
- You should be able to work well within a small team and be self-motivated
