We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Executive Assistant to support the MD.

What you will be doing as an Executive Assistant?

  • Providing efficient support and acting as the Mds right-hand person and face for the organisation with Board Members, other Executives, external partners and residents
  • Supporting the Executive Team as required, including any Governance matters and provide support to the Board and Committees
  • Work closely with the MD on all that is required to make sure that the Group remains at the highest Regulatory Grading, with financial sustainability and strong governance
  • Be responsible for ensuring all Executive data, sometimes of a highly confidential and sensitive nature is updated and maintained in accordance with Data Protection legislation
  • Provide presentations, and undertake research, to obtain key management information and data to be used by the MD and the Executive Team as required
  • Support the MD managing the National Housing Federation Group and other national working groups, providing specialist support and advice
  • Support the Head of Governance, Risk and Assurance in any Board and Committee matters
  • Manage the MDs Budget including raising purchase orders, payment of invoices and expenses reconciliation
  • Promptly provide minutes and actions of relevant meetings and create action trackers
  • Manage a wide range of meetings, including preparation, agenda development and timely access and development of papers
  • Effective diary management, overseeing any requirements for papers/reports or assistance with travel arrangements
  • Manage the gifts and hospitality arrangements and appropriate completion of the register, ensuring compliance with the this is how we do it guiding principles
  • Maintain the smooth running of office systems used by the Executive Team
  • Be responsible for any administration required for the MD including expenses and any credit card expense
  • Promote the wellbeing and health & safety of all colleagues

What experience is essential for the role of Executive Assistant?

  • Experience in a similar EA or Executive Assistant or PA role
  • Good standard of education - GSCE/A Level. Pass in English and Maths is essential.

  • Significant Executive Assistant experience including diary management, minute taking and action planning, writing reports, briefings and presentations in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence to work directly with Partners at all levels, including directly with CEOs and Directors

  • Annual salary of GBP36,500
  • Initial 6 month contract
