Finance Manager

Search Recruitment are partnering with an Edinburgh based organisation to recruit a Finance Manager on a part-time (3 days a week), permanent basis with hybrid working. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage and enhance the financial and administrative systems to ensure efficient financial operations. This will include bookkeeping, reporting, policy review and liaising with senior leadership on finance matters.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage income and expenditure cash flow.
  • Manage invoice approval, payment processes, and bank accounts.
  • Oversee monthly financial ledgers, including profit and loss, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process month-end journals and prepare financial reports.
  • Produce quarterly management accounts for the CEO and Board.
  • Assist in developing annual budgets and strategic business plans.
  • Support annual accounts preparation for audit and liaise with auditors.
  • Maintain and review the fixed assets register.
  • Oversee tax and compliance issues.
  • Document business processes and accounting policies.
  • Liaise with payroll provider for payroll and pensions management.
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly expense claims.

Skills and experience you'll ideally have:

  • 3 - 5 years' finance management experience.
  • Qualified/Part-Qualified, QBE or AAT.
  • Experience using Financial Systems and accounting software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with purchase ledger, invoicing, credit control, and month-end analysis.
