Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to children with SEND
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting a sense of belonging and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to develop individualized learning plans for the child
- Monitor and assess the child's progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and parents
- As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will need to contribute towards a safe and supportive learning environment at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and resources for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with the class teacher, parents, and external professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for empowering every child to succeed
