ABOUT THE COMPANY A global manufacturing group have a wide-ranging role for a qualified accountant to work in their central finance team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
  • Prior experience in working in a large, complex multinational financial environment, managing stakeholders.
  • Experience of financial accounting, statutory accounting, budgets and forecasting.
  • SAP system experience is required. S4 Hana experience is useful.
  • Experience of systems migrations is highly favourable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a meticulous financial professional to oversee and manage financial accounting and local compliance activities. This includes statutory accounting, audits, and group submissions for actuals, budgets, and forecasts for assigned entities. The role also involves handling S4 Hana system migration issues, ad-hoc projects, and managing stakeholder expectations. Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports, and other necessary documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar entries.
  • Prepare and submit balance sheet reconciliations in time, ensuring a clean balance sheet with no aged or unresolved items.
  • Fully reconcile intercompany accounts, investigating and resolving any differences.
  • Prepare and ensure timely filing of statutory accounts for responsible legal entities.
  • Manage asset accounting, including depreciation runs, capitalization of construction assets, and timely project openings/closings.
  • Assist the VAT Manager and Tax Manager/Consultants to ensure complete tax compliance.
  • Manage external auditors' requests during interim and year-end audits, providing required information promptly.
  • Collaborate with the internal audit department to address and resolve any issues by the due date.
  • Prepare, review, and submit weekly cashflow forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit the annual balance sheet budget and support the P&L budgeting process.
  • Review and approve weekly payment runs.
  • Work with HR and payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate local payroll processing.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of new or improved processes, ensuring continuous documentation updates.
  • Assist with finance projects and respond to ad-hoc requests.
  • Participate in and manage aspects of the Finance Transformation program, collaborating with the Finance team and wider business to achieve our Group Finance vision.
  • Engage in other process and business improvement initiatives related to Accounting Operations or the broader business.
