  • Location: West Norwood and Streatham, London
  • Salary: SO1 spine point 23-25 (£37,575 - £38,769)
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week, shift patterns to be agreed upon appointment. All year round.
  • Contract: Permanent

Reed Education are working with a Primary School who are seeking a dedicated Premises Manager to oversee the health, safety, and security compliance of our school premises. This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of facilities management and ensuring a safe, secure environment for staff and students.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead the review of Health & Safety policies, conduct security checks, identify risks, and ensure fire safety.
  • Manage routine and non-routine opening of the buildings and grounds and serve as a keyholder for emergencies and out-of-hours call-outs.
  • Coordinate on-site services and resources, oversee building maintenance, repair, and improvement, and supervise project planning and building work.
  • Manage the premises team, develop their skills, conduct appraisals, and always ensure adequate cover and site security.
  • Assist with facilities budgets, forecasting, and relevant reporting and administration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant trade qualification is desirable.
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong leadership skills and knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Experience in building maintenance or a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook for email and calendar management.
  • Skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry/joinery, painting, and glazing are desirable.
