The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, fostering a love for design and practical skills among students. This role will involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging and innovative D&T lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Developing students' practical skills in areas such as product design, textiles, engineering, and graphic design.
- Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress.
- Contributing to the development and enrichment of the D&T curriculum.
- Collaborating with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Design and Technology.
- Previous experience as a Design and Technology Teacher with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
- A passion for design, engineering, and technology, with the ability to inspire students.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.
