This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Finance Assistant on a temporary contract, which has the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will be immediately available and will have a background in transactional finance.

Join a dynamic team with my client, a leading manufacturing company in Newbury. They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to support their finance department during a pivotal period of growth.

Description

  • Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and payment runs.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  • Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.

Profile

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
