**The Role
The Head of Compliance position offers a unique opportunity to shape the compliance strategy of a cutting-edge FinTech company. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this role involves leading a team, overseeing regulatory relations, and implementing effective compliance frameworks.
**Key Responsibilities of the Head of Compliance:
- Hold SMF 16 and 17 functions, leading the compliance and financial crime prevention team
- Provide expert advice on regulatory matters to senior management and the Board
- Manage relations with the FCA and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Develop and maintain compliance and financial crime prevention frameworks
- Oversee the design and execution of risk-based compliance monitoring review plans
**Required knowledge and experience for the Head of Compliance role:
- Current or recent FCA SMF 16 and SMF 17 experience
- Significant experience leading a compliance function in regulated financial services
- Expert knowledge of FCA requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Degree-level education with relevant technical qualifications
