Are you passionate about guiding young people towards a brighter future? We're seeking a dedicated Careers Advisor to support our NEET team in tracking and providing guidance to young people who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET) across the borough.
Role Overview:
In this pivotal role, you will be based at our office, working closely with a team of supportive colleagues to deliver high-quality careers advice. You'll spend 3 days a week meeting with young people in community buildings across the borough, helping them navigate their options for education, employment, and training. Some minimal hybrid working is available, but the role requires flexibility and the ability to travel for in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and engage with NEET individuals, offering tailored careers advice and support.
- Use your expertise to guide young people back into education, training, or employment.
- Collaborate with the NEET team to ensure comprehensive and consistent support.
- Keep detailed records and manage NEET tracking systems to monitor progress.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in careers advice, particularly with NEET young people.
- Familiarity with NEET tracking systems is an advantage.
- Level 6 Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) qualification is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young people.
- Willingness to travel across the borough and work both independently and as part of a team.
