The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their Funds team based in London. This role is suitable for candidates with 5-8 years post-qualification experience (PQE) who are looking to take the next step in their career within a highly regarded practice. The successful candidate will work on a variety of high-value and complex matters, providing expert legal advice on fund formation, regulatory issues, and investments.
You will also be responsible for managing relationships with clients, delivering commercially focused advice, and assisting in the development of junior members of the team.
About You
Essential Experience:
- 5-8 years of post-qualification experience within a reputable Funds team.
- Expertise in advising on the structuring, formation, and operation of funds.
- A deep understanding of fund management, investment regulations, and compliance.
- Proven experience in handling a diverse range of matters involving private equity, hedge funds, and venture capital.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills, providing high-quality, pragmatic advice.
- Strong academic background, with a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-value and complex transactions.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in both onshore and offshore funds.
- Exposure to cross-border fund formation and structuring.
- Experience in business development and networking activities.
- Supervisory experience and the ability to mentor junior solicitors and paralegals.
Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- In-depth knowledge of fund formation, regulatory frameworks, and tax-efficient structures.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- The ability to manage a demanding caseload and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.

- Team leadership qualities, with experience in training and supervising junior staff.
