HR Business Partner Site Based

Posted by Denholm Associates.

Does the idea of working for a global manufacturing business, playing a pivotal role within the local management team, sound like the perfect next step in your HR career? Our client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team at their Greenock site. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive organisational change, contribute to exciting global projects, and be a key player in transforming the company culture and helping the organisation ready for future growth. If you're ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, engineering or manufacturing setting, this role offers an ideal environment to showcase your HR expertise.

Are you the kind of person our client is looking for?

  • Do you have a strong generalist HR skillset, with exposure across all key HR functions including Organisational Design, Development, Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment, Learning and Development, and Talent Management?
  • Can you offer an independent, objective perspective to support modernisation efforts and align processes with regional and global initiatives?
  • Have you worked in a global organisation, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment, collaborating with senior stakeholders?
  • Do you have experience working on global HR projects, leading change, and implementing new HR systems?

What you can expect from the day-to-day:

  • Support the local and global HR teams by leading initiatives related to Organisational Design and Development.
  • Partner with senior management on recruitment and selection efforts, ensuring the right talent is onboarded to support future growth.
  • Lead Compensation and Benefits projects, working closely with regional and global teams to drive consistency and alignment.
  • Champion Learning and Development programs, guiding the development of employees and creating talent pipelines through initiatives such as apprenticeships and graduate programs.
  • Engage in Employee Relations activities, managing complex cases and ensuring best practices in line with UK employment legislation.
  • Play a key role in driving cultural transformation, aligning the Greenock site with wider global HR strategies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent role in a global organisation.
  • Strong background in modernising HR processes and aligning them with organisational objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of coaching and advising managers to build high-performing teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field and/or CIPD qualification.

Career Growth Opportunities:

This role offers the opportunity to work on both local and global HR initiatives, as well as the chance to be part of key cultural change projects. This role will support the leaders on the site and will be based on site 5 days per week.

With exposure to senior leadership and involvement in impactful organisational transformations, this role is ideal for an HR professional seeking career development and growth in a global setting.
