IT Support Engineer Apprentice

The business specialises in the supply, installation, configuration, training and support of Sage software to well over 1,000 businesses. We are one of Sage's most successful business partners, delivering excellent Sage 50, Sage 200 and Sage Payroll implementations to all businesses, also specialising in the Manufacturing vertical market.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a broad range of IT installation, IT configuration and IT support services to customers via telephone, remote web access and on-site visits.
  • Ensure that all customer enquiries and requests are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of outstanding, in progress and completed work in real time
  • Clearly communicate technical IT information and advice to customers with differing IT knowledge levels.
  • Assisting and being assisted by colleagues to provide prompt resolutions for customer issues.
  • Identify opportunities for clients to benefit from other products/services offered by the company and liaise with the Sales & Marketing department.
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing department to maintain accurate marketing information, including blogs and web content.

  • Have outstanding computer literacy skills.
  • Act with integrity and respect when interacting with clients, employees, suppliers and individuals.
  • Be optimistic about the possibility of personal growth and change
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer services.
  • Any IT / Excel related qualification would be ideal.

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
