Metal Fabricator / Site Fitter (Architectural Metalwork)
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £35k + Excellent Benefits
Full-Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday (40 hours)
The Client:
Our client is a well-established manufacturing firm, offering outstanding design and production services for architectural metalwork such as staircases and balconies.
The Role:
As a Metal Fabricator, you will be installing architectural metalwork in various projects including staircases, steelwork and balustrades.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site tasks such as welding, erection, and installation.
- Coordinate internally for project coordination and efficiency.
- Travel nationwide in company vans to customer locations for architectural metalwork installations.
- Weld on-site according to company procedures and coding standards.
- Commute and stay overnight as necessary for project obligations
- Adhere to RAMS, company-set deadlines and project schedules.
- Complete all tasks with meticulous attention to detail and professionalism.
- Follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures to maintain consistent quality standards in alignment with ISO 9001:2015
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Fabricator or in a similar role.
- At least 5 years' experience in the fabrication industry.
- Apprentice trained, time-served fabricator
- Ideally have experience in MIG and TIG welding.
- Skilled in reading and understanding CAD drawings.
- Experience in using overhead cranes, guillotines, press brakes, radial arm drills, band saws, and punches (beneficial)
