About Us

We are supporting an excellent school nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Lymington, Hampshire. The specialist SEN Autism residential school offers a unique blend of education and care for young people with a range of communication, behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties. The school is housed in a stunning building with scenic views, providing an inspiring environment for both students and staff.

The Role

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team. You will play a vital role in supporting our intellectually high-functioning young people, helping them to achieve their full potential and live more independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to young people with autism.
  • Assist in organising and participating in a variety of activities, including kayaking, abseiling, skydiving, and other creative and stimulating pursuits.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
  • Support the development of communication, social, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with educational and care teams to deliver personalised support plans.
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting are completed accurately and timely.

Shifts

  • Early Shift: 07:15 - 13:15
  • Late Shift: 13:30 - 22:30
  • Night Shift: 21:30 - 09:30 (Optional)

Requirements

  • Full driving license (essential due to the schools location).
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • A passion for working with young people with autism and other SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly and creatively.
