Are you a Naval Architect or similar from a Marine background looking for an autonomous and technical role working on cutting edge global projects within a multi-million turnover Marine company who offer a great working environment and ongoing opportunities for progression?

On offer is the opportunity to join the business working as part of the Special Projects Team with the view of being involved in the design, production of drawings linked to new constructions, the repair of vessels in operation, modifications to vessels in line with the Operational Strategy and Client requirements

This company operate within the offshore PSV and ERRV industry and operates the largest wholly UK-owned fleet engaged in supporting the UK's offshore Oil & Gas and offshore wind markets

In this autonomous position, you'll be an integral part of a close-knit project team, focusing on working on Vessel Design, Vessel modifications, and New Technology considerations linked to efficient operations and the companies decarbonization strategy.

Plan to detail and accommodate retrofit of any system found necessary to accommodate performance enhancements

This dynamic role would suit a Project Engineer from a Marine background looking for an exciting and varied role within a well-established yet growing company where you will work on cutting edge projects and can increase your earnings through a bonus.

The Role:

  • Assessing project requirements and researching feasibility of new technology
  • Engage with New Construction Teams onshore and onsite, supporting the project's needs
  • Engage within the tender process for client awards, construction award, input to project budgets, timescales and specifications as required
  • Produce using AutoCAD and other software suites detailed drawings as requested by Clients
  • Maintain Key relationships within Design partner organizations.
  • Review - Input - Develop test procedures, including computer modelling and scale models Interpreting and analysing of data and test results
  • Working with the Supply Chain manager, Head of Special Projects, Technical Managers input to the selection of equipment, implementation of systems
  • Identify solutions in support of technical / Operational challenges and inputting to vessel repairs
  • Undertaking relevant research linked to the adoption of Technology, alternative fuels and the decarbonization strategy
  • Working effectively with the Special Projects function and Environmental SMEs

  • Naval Architect with relevant educational background
