Credit Controller

We are looking to expand our small and friendly accounts team with a full time credit controller. We are looking for a credit controller with a great personality, capable of building strong relationships with our B2B clients. Job purpose:

Credit Controller Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.
  • Managing and collecting debts from company debtors.
  • Setting up the terms of credit for new clients.
  • Negotiating payment plans.
  • Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
  • Responding to client inquiries

The post provides both clerical and administrative support to managers, either as part of a team or individually depending on the task. The role plays a vital part in the administration and smooth-running of businesses.

Most work involves both written and oral communication, word processing and typing, and requires relevant skills such as IT, organisational and presentation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases;
  • Processing Invoices and allocating cash
  • Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts; to investigate and resolve any issues
  • Liaising with colleagues and external contacts to book travel and accommodation;
  • Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information;
  • Photocopying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues.
  • Archive filing - to be kept on top of/purged appropriately
  • Ad-hoc admin duties as and when required

Day-to Day Accounts Processing

  • Credit control
  • Process Monthly Rebates
  • Monthly statements
  • Carry out credit checks on potential new customers and set credit limits

Targets:

Ensure all data and information is recorded and transmitted in a timely and appropriate manner as required by the management team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
