Your new role:
- Deliver a high standard of learning, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years.
- Deputy for the Nursery Manager.
- Supervise and appraise nursery staff as directed.
- Ensure that the preschool nursery is a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
- Develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
- Be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager.
Main Activities:
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating educational environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Deliver an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements.
- Undertake designated officer roles as directed.
- Collaborate with other professionals in the local area.
- Implement preschool nursery policies and procedures.
- Plan activities aligned with early learning goals.
- Act as a key person for specific children.
- Maintain proper records.
- Liaise closely with parents/carers.
- Contribute to self-evaluation and improvement planning.
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager in a nursery setting.
- Passion for child development and creating a positive learning environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
