Their Reading office is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join their dynamic audit team. As an Audit Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the audit team in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients. You will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements, including risk assessments and audit planning.
- Perform detailed audit testing, including examination of financial statements, internal controls, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare audit working papers and ensure proper documentation of audit procedures and findings.
- Communicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary information and clarify audit issues.
- Collaborate with audit team members to develop audit strategies and solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and management letters.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure compliance with auditing standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.
- Support the training and development of junior audit staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Studying towards or holding a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Some experience in audit or related field is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
