Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a **Associate Lecturer in Acting (Bank)**at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a part-time, variable hour basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £25.30 - £39.47 per hour.

Chichester College is recruiting a bank of Associate Lecturers in Acting to deliver high quality teaching and learning within our Creative and Performing Arts department. This is a flexible role which allows you to accept work assignments work when convenient to you. Perhaps you are looking for that extra role that allows you to give back to our students and help shape their future.

As our Associate Lecturer in Acting, you will be experienced in the craft of acting, and ideally have experience teaching in a FE setting and have strong links with the industry. A flexible approach and a can-do attitude to stepping in at the last minute would also be advantageous.

You will join our friendly team and support our wonderful productions throughout the year. Recent productions include ‘Edelweiss Pirates', ‘The Table' and ‘Sister Act' which were all very well received and watched by many members of the local community.

Key Responsibilities of our Associate Lecturer in Acting:

  • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
  • Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
  • Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.

Our ideal Associate Lecturer in Acting should have the below skills and experience:

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • Relevant industrial/commercial/subject experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
