I am excited to be working with a Primary School in the South Bristol area who are seeking a Learning Partner to work with pupils in the ASD hub.

This school is a very diverse environment, providing children with opportunities to learn and develop at their own pace. They recognise that each pupil learns at different levels and in different styles, and provide an open curriculum.

The Role

This school is looking for a Learning Partner to support children from year 1 to year 4 who have ASD needs. If successful, you will be working alongside another 4 Learning Partners to support learning within the hub and to transition into a classroom.

To be successful for this role, you must have previous experience working with Special Needs, whether it be with Adults or Children, Inside or Outside of a classroom.

You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and communicate clearly.
  • Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.
  • Be adaptable with the child's learning environment.
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
  • Support children in a group setting, using objects to support and encourage learning.
