AIr Freight Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange shipments according to customer instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or quotations.
  • Open job files and arrange collections as per customer requirements.
  • Book all shipments with the airline.
  • Ensure secure cargo tie-ups and coordinate handover to transport.
  • Complete Master Air Waybills (MAWBs) for IATA, B2B, and consolidations.
  • Pre-alert customers and network partners about shipments.
  • Complete customs entries in compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Liaise with airlines and handling agents.
  • Manage a shared mailbox efficiently.
  • Resolve queries promptly to ensure timely shipment uplift.
  • Follow customer SOPs meticulously.
  • Arrange air import shipments.
  • Possess knowledge of air import customs (advantageous).
  • Handle operational finance, including costing and invoicing.
  • Maintain a flexible and adaptive approach to work.
  • Maintain a customer-focused attitude at all times.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the reporting superior.

Requirements:

  • Experience in air freight coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in operational finance tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
