Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange shipments according to customer instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or quotations.
- Open job files and arrange collections as per customer requirements.
- Book all shipments with the airline.
- Ensure secure cargo tie-ups and coordinate handover to transport.
- Complete Master Air Waybills (MAWBs) for IATA, B2B, and consolidations.
- Pre-alert customers and network partners about shipments.
- Complete customs entries in compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Liaise with airlines and handling agents.
- Manage a shared mailbox efficiently.
- Resolve queries promptly to ensure timely shipment uplift.
- Follow customer SOPs meticulously.
- Arrange air import shipments.
- Possess knowledge of air import customs (advantageous).
- Handle operational finance, including costing and invoicing.
- Maintain a flexible and adaptive approach to work.
- Maintain a customer-focused attitude at all times.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the reporting superior.
Requirements:
- Experience in air freight coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures (advantageous).
- Proficiency in operational finance tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
