Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join an SEN School in South West London.

Vacancy Details:

Seeking: Maths Teacher KS3/4

School Type: Dyslexia Specialist School

Salary: £180 - £240 per day (According to your teaching scale)

Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, full-time, 5 days a week

Contract type: Temporary to permanent

Start date: September 24

Requirement: QTS

Location: South West London, SW11

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Prepare, and Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEN needs.
  • Assess and Track Progress regularly, adapting teaching methods to suit the individual learning styles and abilities of each student.
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment that encourages personal and academic growth, helping students to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Implement Behavioural Strategies and interventions to support students in managing their behaviour and emotions effectively.
  • Collaborate with Support Staff and other educators to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Communicate Regularly with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and any concerns.
  • Attend Staff Meetings and Training to stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN education and behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: You will need to hold a Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven Experience in teaching Maths, ideally within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • Strong Knowledge of SEN, with a particular focus on supporting students with behavioural challenges.
  • Valid DBS on the Update Service.
  • Right to Work in the UK on a full-time basis.
