This post attracts a non-pensionable Market Pay Supplement of £10,000 pro-rata, per annum, (this is in addition to basic salary).

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Systems Managers to join our Systems and Support team and be responsible for delivering a professional and expert systems and support service in order to optimise decision making and financial, supply chain and workforce management across UKHSA.

The Senior Systems Manager - Systems Support role will be responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of our Money and People Service (MaPS), providing technical and functional leadership across our implementation of Oracle Fusion cloud applications. The Senior Systems Support Manager - Systems Support will act as the subject matter expert for the service and will require a good understanding of either Oracle HCM or ERP along with a sound knowledge of how these applications support UKHSA business processes. This will be achieved by engaging with business process owners to understand business challenges and engaging with our 3rd party support partners to resolve issues and identify potential service improvements.

The postholder will be responsible for managing incidents and service requests, either directly or through our 3rd party support partner, for their area of responsibility and providing oversight to the implementation of changes with minimal adverse impact to the business and end users. The post holder will own the relationship with business process owners and will collaborate across the wider Systems and Data team to both resolve issues and identify service improvements.

They will ensure a high quality of service is provided to the business measured by key performance SLA's and will seek to drive and improve customer satisfaction across the end users and customer community.

Working with other staff from the Finance and Corporate Services, Commercial and People groups, the post holder/s will ensure that clear customer focus, innovation and best practice are intrinsic to the ongoing delivery of MaPS to enable the efficient operation of UKHSA.

Location:

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) operates a hybrid working model where business needs allow. This provides us with greater flexibility about how and where we work, to get the best from our workforce. As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual working hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata, (averaged over a month) working at one of UKHSA's locations (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, and London). For certain roles, some additional flexibility may be possible, which will be agreed upon with the hiring manager based on individual requirements and business needs.

Essential Criteria:

It is important through your application and Statement of Suitability of no more than 1250 words that you give evidence and examples of proven experience of each of the essential criteria (for full details of all essential criteria please refer to the attached job description):

Essential

  • Significant experience of delivering systems support within an ITIL aligned organisation.
  • Extensive experience of Oracle Cloud applications or similar ERP and/or HR systems.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of managing change through the product delivery life cycle
  • Demonstrable ability to engage and communicate technical concepts and complex issues with key stakeholders at an operational and strategic level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Qualified with CCAB, CIMA or equivalent/CIPD qualification or equivalent; or working towards; or extensive Financial and/or Supply Chain and/or Human Resources expertise.

Desirable

Project Management:

  • Managing Successful Programmes at either Foundation or ideally Practitioner level
  • PRINCE2 at either Foundation or ideally Practitioner Level

Digital, Data & Technology:

  • ITIL Service Management
  • Agile Project Management
  • Lean Six Sigma
