Description
The key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant will include, but may not be limited to;
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
- Managing records and receipts.
- Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions.
- Supporting the finance department, accountants, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.
- Ad-hoc duties.
- Preparing budgets, reports, and financial statements.
- Processing invoices and delivering them to relevant parties.
- Preparing and submitting expense reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
- Not for Profit and Charities background - Education desirable.
- Ability to commute to Wigan.
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting or business administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- An understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
- Knowledge of financial software and databases.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Full Enhanced DBS required.
