Job Description: Pipefitter
Location: Washington
Contract Duration: 3-6 months, potentially more.
Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday (Overtime available at double the hourly pay rate)
Pay Rate: Up to £19.75 per hour
About the client: My client is a leading engineering business specialising in the fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of various pipework systems. They work with materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, and copper. Services include gas installations, pump skids, and steel frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and Installation: Work on the fabrication and installation of pipework systems, including gas installations and pump skids.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance and repair tasks on existing pipework systems.
- Testing and Purging: Conduct gas testing, purging, and de-gassing of pipework systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Requirements:
- CSCS Card: Must possess a valid CSCS card.
- Driving Licence: Must have a valid driving licence.
- Experience: Previous experience in pipefitting, particularly with materials like carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, and copper.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
