We are looking for two experienced Regional Media Buy Manager for Germany to join our amazing smart technology client. There are 2 headcounts, one more junior, and one more senior. Primary target candidates will be working for companies in the smart tech industry, such as Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Samsung, Apple, Huawei, Transsion, Nokia (HMD).

Salary is open, but as a guide, candidates with 5 years of relevant experience, salary will be around €60k, and with 10 years of relevant experience around €100k.

The more Senior person will be responsible for leading a regional team, consisting of regional IMC team of 4 to 5 people, plus also virtually leading the Media Buy Managers locally in each of the in-country regions within the European region.

The Senior Media Buy Manager will report to the Deputy Marketing Director of the Marketing Dept, and who then reports to the CMO of the European region.

As Media Buy Manager, your responsibility will encompass strategic media buying, campaign optimization, budget management, vendor negotiation, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsible for development and implementation of regional media strategy including media cooperation, planning, placement, analysis and optimization (e.g. at touchpoints, TV, print, OOH, radio, podcast in close cooperation with regions media agency and media group)
  • Developing and executing comprehensive 360 media buy strategies (online and offline) across multiple European markets to drive brand awareness, brand consideration, and revenue growth
  • Supporting regional teams in achieving sales, brand, and communication goals
  • Training and knowledge building of regional colleagues
  • Creating of regular reports including recommendations for action for continuous optimization of media activities
  • Controlling of regional media agency and creation of agency briefings
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, freelancers, and cross-functional teams, to ensure successful project execution

Qualifications:

  • Primary target candidates will be working for companies in the smart tech industry, such as Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Samsung, Apple, Huawei, Transsion, Nokia (HMD)
  • Both online and offline media experience is needed, with more emphasis on "offline"
  • English is a must, and other languages particularly German, is a major plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Advertising or related field
  • Proven experience as Media Manager or similar; experience in digital media is preferred
  • 6+ years professional experience in planning, implementation, and analysis of media campaigns, ideally in regional or global environment
  • Interest in following advertising and media trends
  • Working knowledge of media analytics software (e.g. comScore)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities
