Having just spoken with the Partner of this impressive multi-Office accountancy practice, I am keen to speak with ACA or ACCA qualified Accountants who are looking for a long term progression to Directorship.

The Firm: Join a thriving accountancy practice based in Croydon with 4 Directors and a team of 30 staff at the Croydon branch and over 200 staff across 17 branches. This well-established boasts a diverse portfolio, offering not only audit, accounts and tax service but financial and wealth management solutions including inheritance tax advice.

As part of their long-term growth strategy, and with a couple of Directors planning retirement, they are looking to hire an Accounts Associate Director with the potential to progress to the Board and help run the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with a strong practice background to step into a senior management role and carve a path to directorship.

The Role:

• Position: Practice Manager / Accounts Associate Director

• Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the Croydon branch, with a focus on review work, overseeing accounts and tax, and ensuring high standards of preparation.

• Working with a mix of OMBs and SMEs across various sectors

• Overseeing a team including managers, ensuring compliance and quality.

• Minimal audit work (around 5 audits), focusing primarily on accounts and tax.

• Assisting with the transition of the firm's software to TaxCalc.

• Supporting Directors and helping manage the firm's day-to-day operations with the potential to join the Board.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualifications: ACA, ICAEW, or ACCA qualified with a practicing certificate preferred.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within a practice setting. Experience with OMBs and SMEs is advantageous.
• Skills: Strong leadership, review, and management skills. Ability to guide a team and maintain high standards in accounts and tax.
• Personality: A proactive, committed individual looking to make a long-term impact and grow with the firm.
