The One Group are partnering with a globally recognised business in Peterborough who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This role will sit within the HR team and although majority of the responsibilities will be based on Payroll, you may have the opportunity to get exposure to some HR responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing weekly and monthly payroll information to be sent to a third party payroll provider
- Dealing with any pay related queries
- Enter and update employee payroll information into the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and changes in tax status
- Calculate statutory deductions (such as National Insurance, PAYE tax, and pension contributions)
- Provide administrative services for pensions and benefits, answering queries from internal and external contacts
In order to be successful within this role it is essential you have experience within payroll in order to hit the ground running.
In return you will be offered a competitive salary between £35,000-£40,000 per annum as well as hybrid working, to offer some flexibility to work from home.
