Here at Graham & Brown an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a PR Manager to join the team, based in Blackburn. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary range between £27,670 - £34,587 per annum.

As our PR Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Community & Social Manager in the delivery of PR KPIs globally. You'll be instrumental in the delivery of Graham & Brown communications through a variety of routes and channels across digital and print.
Our PR Manager will:
- Build strong relationship with the key media targets and the teams within them to maximise the exposure of the brand across digital and print.
- Write engaging and inspiring press releases in line with the marketing communications plan and secure in relevant publications.
- Support press releases by liaising with key media to ensure maximum publicity and positive coverage.
- Manage the PR budget
- Manage suppliers such as news-wires and image libraries, ensure we also have best in class suppliers who can facilitate our message.
- Run our press office. React to ‘press wire' to ensure we respond to what journalists are looking for.
- Respond to all sample requests ensuring despatch and receipt of the samples is in good time to meet journalist deadlines.
- Proactively identify opportunities for topical and "press stories" and deliver on them in support of marketing and business objectives. (e.g. Barbie Core, Bridgerton trends – how are they relevant to our brand and do they "fit")
- Use your knowledge and creativity to deliver market-leading PR activations.
- Manage and maintain up to date media lists.
- Manage PR tracking tools and ensure they continue to be fit for purpose.
- Track, measure and report on PR coverage KPIs. Produce monthly update reports on results.
- Ensure all links featured in digital articles relate to the correct locations on the website, and if not get them corrected.
- Plan and assist in the execution of PR events.
- Responsible for securing coverage across both print and digital media outlets.
- Follow industry trends and update the marketing team accordingly.
- Share quality coverage internally using Workplace.
- Seeking out new press opportunities/publications and contacts.
- Create and manage disaster recovery briefing document.
- Support international PR agencies where applicable.
- Manage international PR requests where applicable.
- Maintain PR assets and releases folder and work to give access to press.
- Ensure press information is up to date on our websites.
- Liaise with and guide external PR agencies where we have them.
Experience and skills required by our PR Manager:
- Experience within an in-house PR/Comms or marketing function or within a PR agency.
- Very strong copywriting and editing skills.
- A genuine interest in the interiors industry and press.
- Presentation skills, media relations and public speaking.
- PC literate – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Very well organised.
- Quick Learner.
- Competent to work on own initiative.
- Enthusiastic.
- Outgoing and confident with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Creative.
