Impression Recruitment are working with a leading specialist within the automotive sector, who are renowned for being a top supplier of prestige vehicles across the UK. They are looking to hire a
Vehicle Purchasing Specialist
to join their team on a full time, permanent basis! Within this role, you will take responsibility of managing the end to end purchasing process of stock for the business. You will have experience of and be able to demonstrate a passion for the prestige car market, and be driven to hit stocking level targets. If you have experience of a purchasing/sourcing role within the automotive sector, or if you are an experienced vehicle sales professional with transferable expertise, then this could be for you! Vehicle Purchasing Specialist duties:
- Purchase stock that represents the company profile as well as handling the disposal of trade vehicles.
- Ensure full compliance with outside legal and regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Oversee the preparation required on vehicles coming into stock.
- Arrange the delivery / collection of new stock.
- Oversee and monitor stock levels, ensuring appropriate purchases in line with company standards.
- Ensure the correct documentation is provided.
- Source vehicles using various methods and channels.
- Monitor trends and demands within the market for specific makes and models of vehicles.
- Create clear guidelines for assessing vehicles for part exchange.
- Streamline vehicle turnaround time through early identification of any required preparation.
- Liaise with the senior leadership to set challenging and realistic targets & KPI's.
- Ensure all stock financial reports are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure that any potential leads are identified and contacted in a timely manner.
- Ensure sister finance company are kept updated on new stock to enable maximum referral.
- Use of ‘Dragon' (reporting system) ensuring accurate information is recorded.
- Assist with all marketing and website activity to ensure it represents the high standard.
- Represent the business at promotional events.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience of purchasing stock or sourcing within the motor trade. (essential)
- Proven track record of working to targets (stock or sales)
- Quality communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong IT skills.
In return you will receive a salary of up to £30,000 per annum with on target earnings of £50,000! Your working hours will be 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch.
