Job Title: RMS Repairs Planner

Location: East London

Remuneration: £20.44 - £25.44 per hour

Contract Details: Temporary, 3 months with potential to extend

Responsibilities:

  • With your experience in repairs maintenance planning and scheduling and the ability to work on your initiative, provide comprehensive and complex planning and scheduling.
  • Assist the Maintenance team in carrying out its responsibilities regarding residents' repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Repairs Manager to ensure well-planned schedules for up to 20 operatives each day.
  • Provide constant logistical and administrative direction to trade team operatives, maximising productivity, reducing non-productive time, and minimising the RMS carbon footprint.
  • Ensure all repair orders registered on Service Connects are correctly described, assigned, appointed, and completed to residents' satisfaction.
  • Manage the customer repair journey from order to completion, ensuring a positive and informed customer experience throughout.
  • Plan cost-effective and productive schedules to maximise customer satisfaction, operative productivity, and KPI performance.
  • Produce regular monthly reports on team performance, including productivity data, KPIs, and statistics using various software.
  • Provide an excellent logistical and administrative service to your trade teams, removing barriers to maximise their outputs.
  • Monitor trade team schedules and attendance, ensuring operatives are logged in and working as per contractual agreements.
  • Give direction and assistance to trade team operatives to maximise productivity, minimise non-productive time, and reduce the RMS carbon footprint.
  • Collaborate with RMS Stores to coordinate and manage van stocks, materials, and plant orders.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Experience in repairs maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

As an RMS Repairs Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing the customer repair journey, from order to completion. Your excellent logistical and administrative skills will remove barriers for the trade teams, allowing them to maximise their outputs and achieve right-first-time/first-time-fix.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. Experience using Service Connects is essential, along with proficiency in various software for reporting and analysis.
