An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Infrastructure Engineer to join a well established team with a fantastic business based in Nottingham. Day to day you will be responding to escalated issues and ensuring the smooth running of the IT Infrastructure with the business.
As a Infrastructure Engineer, you'll require the following essentials:
- A minimum of 3 years background of working within Infrastructure
- Ideally hold a Microsoft Qualification such as MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, Cisco or Fortinet
- Good knowledge of ITIL processes
- Is able to manage technology installations across various sites
- Ability to travel on an ad hoc basis to other sites (public transport commutable)
- Understands the value of discipline and process for delivering repeatable service
- Able to prioritise workloads and working to strict deadlines
- Great written and verbal communication skills
Within this role you will act as a key person for escalation of technical queries from the service desk and will assist in resolving customer incidents which may involve the use of diagnostics and service management tracking tools.
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you'll also be:
- Respond in a timely manner to queries and adhere to the KPI's in place
- Adhering to company policies and procedures
- Providing 2nd line support resolution of Infrastructure incidents and tickets
- Addressing user problems and interrogates database for potential solutions
- Acting as the escalation point for technical queries
- Working knowledge of WAN/LAN administration including, especially in a SDWAN/SDBranch configuration
- Maintaining a Virtualised or cloud server environment
- Completing any tasks given by the Head of Infrastructure in a timely manner
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD and Microsoft 365
- Using trend analysis to prevent future problems and increase availability
- Having a good understanding of Powershell would be advantageous
You'll also have the opportunity to work on more strategic elements of the Infrastructure Business Plan and contribute towards proactive projects in order to drive the department towards the overall objective towards the business vision.
Working Hours & Salary
- £43,000 - £48,000pa + Bonus (£3,600)
- Monday – Friday with Hybrid Working
- 1 / 6 weeks on call
