Secondary TA
Location: Alnwick, Northumberland
Salary: £75 - £100 per day
Status: ASAP/ September 2024
GSL Education is looking for Secondary TA to support secondary Schools in Alnwick, Northumberland.
Job Summary:
- Assist the main teacher with managing the classroom, maintaining discipline, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Help set up and organize materials for lessons.
- Support students during lessons, especially those who need extra help or have special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
- Provide individualized support to students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
- Support classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
- Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure the well-being and academic success of students.
Requirements:
- A passion for education and working with young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is desirable but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ, or equivalent) are advantageous.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
