Structural Revit Technician

We are looking for an experienced structural technician with building structures experience for an award-winning practice to work in their contemporary Bristol office. This engineering consultancy typically punches well above it's weight with the kind of projects it takes and has large and talented civil and structural team.

Projects range up to £100m in value and include;

  • Schools and universities
  • Retail and leisure
  • Mixed use residential
  • Hospitals and healthcare
  • Historic

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Producing detailed drawings, modelling using Revit and RC detailing (training can be provided
  • Working closely with and supporting senior engineers
  • Liaising with various stakeholders regarding technical issues
  • Obtaining a good understanding of issues on site and devising and providing solutions
  • Communicating with contractors and architects
  • Depending on your experience you will gradually take on more responsibility as your experience grows
  • Working on building structures in all traditional and sustainable materials

A key factor for this role is someone who enjoys interactions with clients. Building and maintaining relationships is a key part of the company ethos.

Essential criteria for this role:

  • A relevant qualification in civil or structural engineering
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of the design process
  • A keen interest in working in a digital BIM environment
  • Working experience with Revit
  • This will be a varied role so it is important someone not only has good software ability, but also has a solid understanding of how a building comes together
