Responsibilities:
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join a primary school in Sheffield as a School Caretaker. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the school environment, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key Holder Responsibilities:

Open the school premises securely.

Respond to alarm call-outs outside regular working hours when necessary.
- Repairs and Maintenance:

Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks around the school premises.

Report and liaise with external contractors for more extensive repairs.
- Health and Safety Checks:

Conduct regular health and safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
- Grounds Maintenance:

Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds.

Manage waste disposal in accordance with environmental guidelines.
- Security:

Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring the security of the school buildings.

Assist with implementing and maintaining security systems.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities management role is desirable.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work full-time as required.
