Subsidence Claims Handler

Recruit Insure are looking for a Claims Technician for a leading independent global insurance service provider.

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Claims Technician to join their Subsidence team, based remotely or at one of our their offices. Attendance at Northampton office will be required, the frequency will be agreed based on geographical location. (Nationwide considered).

As a Technician, you will use your subsidence claims expertise to manage cases from start to finish. You will collaborate with the team, taking ownership of allocated cases and working with specialists to investigate, validate, and settle claims in a timely manner. The role involves delivering outstanding service to our customers, clients, and colleagues, while supporting continuous improvement and promoting best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle subsidence claims from receipt to conclusion, ensuring timely settlements.
  • Work with experts to investigate and validate claims, making recommendations where necessary.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, including customers, clients, and brokers.
  • Utilize digital solutions, such as video technology, to support claim handling.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual service levels (SLA's) and key performance indicators (KPI's).
  • Contribute positively to the team, sharing knowledge and providing constructive feedback.
  • Accurately utilize IT claims management systems to process and manage claims.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant parties, prioritizing proactive phone contact to ensure claims are efficiently managed.

  • Strong knowledge of building-related claims and insurance principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT and claims management systems.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity, setting a positive example for the team.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adhere to service standards.
  • Preferably CERT CILA / CERT CII qualified, or willingness to work towards this qualification.

Hours of Work:
Standard working week of 35 hours, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work from home or in the office.
