We are currently recruiting for an MI Analyst on behalf of our client, one of the leading brands in the UK insurance market.

The successful candidate will act as the company's data expert, with the ability to undertake commercial conversations with key stakeholders, in order to support the UK claims leadership's move to data led decision making.

You'll work with the UK Claims Teams, responding to data needs and ensuring regular insight reporting is delivered, as well as liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and Business Analysts to help deliver key projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and delivering UK Claims reporting needs, utilising SQL and using Power BI as the primary visualisation tool.
  • Acting as primary support for UK Claims teams to meet their data requirements.
  • Driving high quality & accurate data and MI outputs that will be used to make critical business decisions.
  • Working with the senior management team to capture requirements, facilitate discussions, and implement changes.
  • Managing regulatory reporting needs and responding promptly.
  • Identifying and challenging the business to take opportunities in advanced analytics and data usage, offering solutions on delivery.
  • Acting as an ambassador for claims data across the business, ultimately helping stakeholders to turn business problems into business solutions.
  • Gathering, analysing and defining data business requirements to be handed to the Technical Business Analyst, so that they can produce the technical specification.

Key Requirements

  • Strong understanding and experience of writing SQL.
  • SME knowledge of technology architectures and processes involved in the transfer of data.
  • Experience of delivering insights through the creation of KPIs or dashboards, ideally with Power BI is desirable or use of similar systems.
  • Experience of working with Data Warehouse technologies (ideally Databricks), with an understanding of continuous improvement and Agile methodology, as well as Public Cloud platforms (ideally Azure).
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
