The Role
This is a full-time role. Working under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo, you will support an individual child who has an EHCP (Education, Health, Care Plan).

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted interventions that support social and emotional development.
  • Support child in class to access the teaching content and engage in lessons.
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and patient manner.
  • Ensure child's safety and welfare is always maintained.
  • Feed back to the class teacher and/or SENDCo at regular points throughout the week.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, remain calm under pressure, and use initiative

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
