Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington
Offer: £52,000 to £65,000 + car or car allowance, 27 days leave + public holidays, pension, healthcare + great career prospects & excellent work life balance
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a £30m new build office and industrial site in Warrington. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring the sound commercial delivery of the project which spans a 24 month programme and working closely with the client, various stakeholders and an experienced and driven site team.
Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyor's main duties will include:
- Prepare and manage subcontract and material procurement schedules
- Prepare monthly CVR reports and other project related reports
- Prepare valuations and applications for payment
- Contract administration including change management
- Ensure accurate and up to date site records are maintained
- Prepare, negotiate and agreement of compensation events
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to the site teams
- Work closely with the client, stakeholders and the project team
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be the commercial lead on the project from the first day of construction. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll have the opportunity to put your own mark on the project and ensure it's delivered successfully. Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this position will need to have experience working on large new build construction projects under the JCT or NEC contract suites. You'll need strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and be driven and keen to develop your career.
