Description:
The Band 6 Midwife provides high-quality midwifery care to women and their families throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods in NHS hospitals. You will provide high-quality clinical care in accordance with Trust values and professional regulations, working both independently and as part of a team. Supporting team members, upholding high standards, communicating effectively, and continuously developing nursing skills are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized patient care, ensuring effective discharge planning based on Trust values.
- Support team coordination of clinical activities.
- Monitor and uphold care quality according to clinical standards.
- Maintain high nursing standards per Trust and CQC guidelines.
- Safely administer medication following Trust policy.
- Support patient medication adherence and provide health promotion advice.
- Educate patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Valid NMC registration as a Midwife.
- Proven experience in midwifery practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Commitment to compassionate and patient-centered care.
