Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Full-Time Reception Teaching Assistant to join our warm and welcoming Catholic primary school in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will support the class teacher in providing a high-quality early years education and fostering a positive learning environment for our youngest pupils.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Provide support to individual pupils and small groups to enhance their learning experience.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
- Prepare classroom resources and materials as needed.
- Support the development of pupil's social and emotional skills.
- Participate in school events and activities, embracing the school's Catholic ethos.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience working with early years children, preferably in a school setting.
- A nurturing and patient approach to supporting young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- A commitment to the school's Catholic values and ethos.
