Administrator - 4 days a week

Admin Assistant role to support the Buyer of a small and friendly company in the Pitstone area to work 4 days a week.

We're now working exclusively with a lovely little company in Pitstone, a really fascinating company who provide a very niche product and service that's utilised across the world, from schools and universities to researchers and documentary teams!

This role is a temporary position for at least the next 3-4 months, however there is a strong possibility that this could go temp to permanent for the right person.

Something that really stands out about this role is that this team operate 4 days a week, so you would need to be fully office based for those 4 days a week and you'd be working Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

The role itself will be on a temporary basis to begin, which means weekly pay and an hourly rate, the hourly rate will be the equivalent of what this role would pay permanently, which is between £24k and £30k for the right person.

What to expect day to day?

We're looking for someone to work with this team as an Admin Assistant, you'd be working very closely with the Buyer for this position, you won't need experience in a buying team but the ability to pick things up quickly will be ideal. As such, you can expect to be involved quite quickly in quotations, purchase orders, organising of sub-contractors as well as maintaining records and the system, as well as some other duties:

  • Monitoring stock levels and re-ordering as necessary.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Entering data onto systems.
  • Additional tasks as required in running efficient day-to-day office.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and enjoyable working environment.
  • Ensuring health and safety of the working environment.

What do we need from you?

  • Previous experience in an administrative position is a must have.
  • Any experience in a buying, sales admin or manufacturing role would be very interesting, but by no means is essential.
  • Use of SAGE would be great but again, not required.
  • Proficiency of MS Office is needed.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management and the ability to juggle tasks.
